Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2015 with her debut single "Ocean Eyes", written by her brother Finneas. Her debut EP Don't Smile at Me (2017) was a commercial success. In 2019, her first studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? topped charts worldwide. The hit single "Bad Guy" made her the first artist born in the 21st century to top the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2020, she performed "No Time to Die", the James Bond theme, which won an Oscar in 2022. Her second album, Happier Than Ever (2021), and her song "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie movie (2023) also earned critical acclaim, with the latter winning her a second Academy Award. In 2024, her third album Hit Me Hard and Soft received praise and produced global hits like "Lunch" and "Birds of a Feather". Eilish has won two Oscars, nine Grammys, and holds 20+ Guinness World Records. She is known for her activism on climate change, gender equality, and women’s rights.
